Big sale moment? We think it’s the perfect time to check what’s running low – and what you’ve been waiting to try. Maybe it’s finally picking up that product you’ve been “casually watching” for awhile, or restocking your go-tos before you hit the final squeeze.

The best place to start? What you already know works. From there, make room for the things that have been sitting on your list – the trending formula, the fresh scent, the new format, or the everyday top-up future you will be glad you grabbed.

To save you the scroll, we’ve pulled together an edit of what to top up and what to try next.

Skincare

The truth is, skincare favourites shift quickly. What you loved last year might be replaced by a new arrival, a classic you forgot about, or the product everyone seems to be talking about online.

What we’re topping up

For the products that have already earned their spot, Neutrogena, Cetaphil and Sukin are easy repeat buys – the cleansers, moisturisers and serums you come back to without needing to rethink the whole shelf.

What we’re trying next

For newer inspiration, L’Oréal’s glass skin inspired range taps into the glow-focused finish people are chasing, while Vichy skincare brings a premium, French pharmacy feel to the mix after its recent Australian launch.

Fragrance

Fragrance is becoming less about choosing one signature scent and more about building a scent wardrobe – something you can shift with your mood, the season or the occasion.

What we’re topping up

For the familiar favourites, DKNY, Elizabeth Arden, Jimmy Choo and Sarah Jessica Parker all sit in that easy-to-wear space – the fresh spritz, the polished floral, the soft everyday scent, the one you know always works.

What we’re trying next

Calvin Klein Euphoria is back in focus with its relaunched Elixir collection, bringing a new take on a familiar name. There’s also plenty to explore across designer fragrances from Versace, Armani, Gucci, Burberry, Chloé and Prada, through to trending picks from Lattafa for anyone building out their scent wardrobe.

Hair care

Cleansing, conditioning, smoothing, styling – whatever your wash day needs, this is where the top-ups and upgrades live.

What we’re topping up

Finding your perfect hair lineup usually takes a little trial, tweak and repeat. Trusted for a reason, Schwarzkopf, HASK and Maui Moisture continue to be shower-caddy regulars, covering everyday washes, masks, oils and curl care.

What we’re trying next

On the ingredient front, hair care is borrowing more from skin care, with sophisticated ingredients making their way into shampoos, serums, masks and more. Redken, Matrix, OGX and L’Oréal Professionnel are trusted names in professional hair care, with formulas designed for specific hair needs – from hydration and colour protection to bond repair and shine.

Makeup

Makeup is where the repeat buys and impulse purchases happily coexist – the mascara you always come back to, the lip stain you saw everywhere, the nail colour you suddenly need immediately.

What we’re topping up

Start with the regulars: base, mascara, setting spray – the products that get used on repeat. Maybelline, L’Oréal Paris, Revlon, Rimmel and Covergirl cover the favourites worth restocking.

What we’re trying next

NYX and Covergirl lean into trend-led products where self-expression meets performance, with products like viral lip stains that sell out almost instantly. Nails are back in rotation too, as more people opt for at-home manicures – think; OPI, Essie and Sally Hansen.

Wellness and supplements

Supplements already on your radar – plus a few newer products bringing fresh energy to the wellness aisle.

What we’re topping up

As the seasons shift, the top-up list tends to get a little more intentional. Swisse, Life-Space and Centrum are familiar names for everyday support. Voost keeps things simple with effervescent formats that are easy to pop into your work bag or handbag.

What we’re trying next

Ingestible beauty is having a moment, with Beauty Chef focusing on supplements that support inner and outer beauty. And if you’ve been paying attention to global supplement trends, NMN is a hot topic, with options from Futurelab and Wanderlust available if you’re curious to try it for yourself.

Everyday baby buys

Nappies, feeding bits, tiny outfits – the top-up list gets long quickly. Here’s where to start.

What we’re topping up

Start with the things you go through quickly. Nappies, wipes and everyday baby care are the obvious restocks, with Huggies, BabyLove, Tooshies and WaterWipes covering the high-rotation essentials.

What we’re trying next

For the extras that earn their place, b.box, Tommee Tippee and Pigeon cover the practical side of feeding, bottles and on-the-go bits. Bambi Mini Co. adds the cute factor with supersinglets and wigglesuits that are fun, practical and anything but ordinary.

Red shopping basket filled with protein supplements including Musashi Plant Protein, INC Whey, Vital Proteins collagen, and protein bars.

Sport nutrition

Whether you’re a fitness pro or casual mover, there’s something here for wherever you’re at.

What we’re topping up

Now’s the time to stock up on the products that support your training goals. From protein powders, bars to pre-workout powders and more, look to INC, BSc and Musashi for gym bag go-tos.

What we’re trying next

Creatine is having a moment well beyond the weight room, with growing interest across women’s wellness and online supplement culture. Vital Strength and Optimum Nutrition bring creatine into focus, alongside newer formats like Muscle Nation protein water and plant-based options from Bondi Protein.
