MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION

Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

General Information
Sea-Band for Travel Sickness provides effective relief from all forms of Travel Sickness without causing drowsiness or other side effects.
Sea-Band for Morning Sickness has proven effective in clinical trials for the relief of Morning Sickness and because it doesn't use drugs, there are no side effects.
Sea-Band for Other Sickness has also been found to be effective in other conditions that produce nausea such as anaesthesia and chemotherapy and are used in hospital throughout the world.
The Sea-Band operates by using acupressure. The bands can be put onto your wrists before you start travelling, or after you have started your journey.

Fantastic
My Dad bought me my first pair when I was a kid as I would get sick just travelling to the store. I’d have to pop a Kwell just before I’d get in the car for any trip. Since using these bands (30+ years now) I have always had a pair or two around and just need them for long distance trips. I can’t imagine I’ll ever be without a pair and recommend them to others who suffer from travel sickness.

Really served its purpose.
Bought the seabands for a return trip on The Spirit of Tasmania. Excellent results for my husband, myself and 10 year old grandson. No nausea at all and no need for medication .Great !!!

I bought these seabands 27 years ago for an overseas trip and being susceptible to any sort of travel, I had my doubts they'd work. They're brilliant and I'm going to buy a new pair next week, for the reason that they've got rather loose now so I'd prefer new rather than trying to tighten them with a few stitches. Have recommended them to numerous friends over the years. Absolutely fabulous!
