KEY FEATURES
• The soft silicone adhesive wound contact layer provides the optimal balance of adherence and gentleness 3,6,10,11, enabling the dressing to be lifted and repositioned on application 8 and helping to minimise pain during dressing changes 3. The perforations enable exudate to pass up through into the foam layer 1.• The foam layer quickly absorbs exudate vertically and transfers it away from the wound and peri-wound 9,3,12.
• The hyper-absorber lock-away layer with EXULOCK? Technology absorbs exudate and spreads it laterally across the dressing to utilise the entire dressing area. It locks in exudate helping to prevent leakage 9,3,13,14.
• EXUMASK? Change indicator Our unique change indicator lets you know the best time to change the dressing 3,4. With ALLEVYN? LIFE excess fluid from your wound is masked 7, whilst also helping to keep potential leaks or odours locked away5,6,7
• The breathable top film allows evaporation 17 of fluid reducing the volume of fluid in the dressing. It also provides a moisture and bacterial barrier.
• Do not cut the absorbent pad as internal
dressing components may contaminate the
wound leading to delayed healing.
• Do not immerse the dressing in water.
• Do not use with oxidising agents such as
hypochlorite solutions (e.g. EUSOL) or
hydrogen peroxide as these can reduce the
absorbency of the dressing.
• If reddening or sensitisation occurs discontinue
use.
• The use of ALLEVYN LIFE Dressings as part of
a prophylactic pressure ulcer prevention
therapy, does not preclude the need to
continue to develop and follow a
comprehensive pressure ulcer prevention
protocol (e.g. regular turning, appropriate
mattress and skin care).
• Single use only, if used on more than one
patient cross contamination or infection may
occur.
• Once opened, do not retain unused dressings
for application at a later date.
• If used on infected wounds, the infection
should be inspected and treated as per local
clinical protocol.
