Stratamed is an advanced formulation which requires substantially less product per application than typical moisturising creams or gels.
Choose the tube size suited to your wound size:
Stratamed

Stratamed 5g
is enough to treat a 2-4 cm linear incision twice per day for over 90 days

Stratamed 10g
is enough to treat a 5-8 cm linear incision twice per day for over 90 days

Stratamed

Stratamed 20g
is enough to treat a 10-12 cm linear incision twice per day for over 90 days or an area of 6x12 cm or twice per day for over 60 days

is enough to treat an area of 12x15 cm twice per day for over 60 days

For best results, Stratamed should be maintained in continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day/7 days a week).
The use of Stratamed should be continued until the skin has fully healed.
For resurfacing and ablative procedures, continued use is recommended for a minimum treatment of 30 days (24 hours a day/7 days a week) or until no further improvement is seen.

• Ensure that the affected skin or wound is clean.
• Gently pat dry as much excess exudate or wound fluid from the area as possible prior to gel application.
• The use of Stratamed should be continued until the skin has fully healed.

• Apply a very thin layer of Stratamed to the affected area and allow the gel to dry.
• When applied correctly to the affected areas, Stratamed should be dry in 5-6 minutes. If it takes longer to dry you have probably applied too much. Gently remove the excess with a clean tissue or gauze and allow the drying process to continue.
• Stratamed should be applied once daily, or twice daily to exposed areas or as advised by your physician.
• Once dry, Stratamed can be covered by sunscreen, cosmetics, pressure garments or casts.

Stratamed helps create an optimal healing environment that leads to faster wound healing resulting in reduced downtime and risk of abnormal scar formation. Stratamed protects the compromised skin from microbial and chemical invasion, is an alternative to topical antibiotics and protects wounds from infections. Stratamed is flexible and adapts to all kinds of wound surfaces. This results in a more comfortable dressing that stays in contact with the skin and can simply be re-applied rather than needing to be removed like a traditional dressing. Stratamed was developed for the use on all types of superficial wounds, burns, skin tears and abrasions including those resulting from surgery, trauma, burns, bites, grazes, tattoo removal, chemical peels, dermal abrasion, cryotherapy, acne and other diseases of the skin. Suitable For: Stratamed may be applied to open wounds, burns and areas where skin integrity has been compromised.
Stratamed is used for:
• The protection and hydration of superficial wounds, burns and compromised skin.
• The prevention and treatment of keloids, hypertrophic and excessive scars.
Stratamed may also be used in conjunction with invasive scar management options to improve overall results, including surgical excision and resuturing, intralesional steroid injections, laser treatments and pressure garments. Stratamed contains no steroids, alcohol, parabens or fragrances
and is transparent and odourless.
Stratamed is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin. Stratamed may be used on infants, during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Stratamed is intended for single patient
use.

• Do not use after the expiration (EXP) date printed on the tube. The expiration (EXP) date does not change once the tube has been opened.

When applied correctly to the affected areas, Stratamed should be dry in 5-6 minutes. If it takes longer to dry you have probably applied too much. Gently remove the excess with a clean tissue or gauze and allow the drying process to continue.
Stratamed should be applied once daily, or twice daily to exposed areas or as advised by your physician. Once dry, Stratamed may be covered by sunscreen, cosmetics, pressure garments or casts. If Stratamed has been removed by washing, it should be reapplied.

Recommended duration of treatment
Stratamed is recommended for immediate treatment post procedure and should be continued until the skin has fully recovered. For resurfacing and ablative procedures, continued use is recommended for a minimum treatment of 30 days (24 hours a day / 7 days a week) or until no further improvement is seen. How much Stratamed do I need?
Stratamed gel is an advanced formulation that requires substantially less product per application than typical creams or gels.
• Stratamed 10g (0.35 oz) is enough to treat a 5-8 cm (2-3 inch) linear incision twice per day for over 90 days.
