MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION

Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

DermaVeen Sensitive Relief Eczema Ointment soothes irritation, relieves itch and forms a protective barrier for skin.
DermaVeen Sensitive Relief Eczema Ointment is specifically formulated for mild eczema flare ups and offers symptomatic relief in 3 ways:
1. A glove-like protective shield forms over the skin to lock in moisture.
2. Helps relieve itch and irritation.
3. Moisture binding Colloidal Oatmeal rehydrates skin.
Suitable For: Vegan friendly. Suitable for all skin types including dry, flaky, itchy, cracked skin and skin prone to dermatitis or eczema. For infants, children and adults and for all-over body and face use.

Directions
Apply 3 to 4 times daily or as needed to areas affected by eczema, itching and irritation. For best results, cleanse with a soap-free, fragrance-free wash or shower & bath oil.

It's quite good for eczema relief! And a little definitely goes a long way, so the tub is great value, I find. I use it at night because I feel it can look quite oily, but when I wake up, my skin feels really good and soft! Helps a lot with the dryness!

WOW.. this stuff is incredible... probably best to use it at night time as it is a bit oily. But just remember a little bit goes a long way.
I use it at night time and wake up in the feeling soft and not itchy at all.
I let my body absorb it while I am sleeping.

Super moisturising
Very good for Super dry skin. I use it on my 10 weeks old. Great product - but remember to wash hands before use as it is a tub of ointment not through pump so try to avoid contamination.

Irritation relieved!
First impression - looks and feels like vaseline, and is oily on the skin. BUT... the irritation on my face and hands was instantly relieved, my skin was hydrated, and when the oiliness wore off my skin was baby soft. I don't like oily products usually but this one I've gotten used to very quickly and am enjoying the results. I will definately purchase again. Note - I don't have eczema, I have very dry irritated skin due to winter and excessive handwashing.

Really nice. Soaks into skin rather than sitting on top. Can feel a little greasy if you put a lot on or already have well moisturised skin but after a while it gets absorbed. I don’t have eczema so can’t comment on that but I will most likely purchase again for my dry sensitive skin.

Balmy goodness
The ideal barrier, this cream to balm is beautiful to form a coating on the skin, great used after a body oil to really lock in the nourishment. By itself this is still a beautiful product and great for anyone suffering with atopic dermatitis or eczema.

It’s a No from me.
My daughter has really bad eczema, after reading pervious reviews I thought this would be perfect. Unfortunately after using it on her skin for a month now it still hasn’t done anything. It makes her skin super greasy but doesn’t actually soak in and moisturise the skin. Just sits on the surface.
