MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION

Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Ungvita Vitamin A Ointment to help relieve dry and inflamed skin.
For the effective treatment of dry skin conditions such as chafed skin, cracked heels and minor skin disorders such as wounds, scratches, mild eczema, dermatitis, cuts and abrasions.
Each gram contains 1800 IU retinyl palmitate (Vitamin A).
Also contains cod liver oil and a petroleum jelly base.

Directions
Clean affected area and spread ointment sparingly directly onto the affected area or onto gauze or other suitable material, apply, hold in place with a bandage or adhesive plaster.

An oldie but a goodie
I can honestly say that life would be difficult without this incredible ointment. Fantastic for all skin ailments. I have been using this for years and it’s getting harder to find so thank you Chemist Warehouse. Please keep stocking it.

So far so good.
I’ve just started using this so I can’t say how well it works yet. The texture is oily so using it at night on my face is fine, especially since it contains retinol which should be used at night anyway. A little goes a long way. It smells of cod liver, which is the other ingredient in it. It’s not a nice smell but it’s ok since I only use a tiny bit.

Might be a great product but fishy smell
One of the strongest fish smell in a product I have ever come across.
I was expect a fishy smell due to the Cod Liver but not this strong!!
I was planning to use it on my dry feet but the smell is so strong I cant even bare it use it much less leave it on even in my feet, the scent of fish stays in your hands, took multiple washing to remove it.
So out the bin it goes

Foul smelling product!!
I bought this after reading all of the great reviews, unfortunately I will never know if they are true because the smell of this product was so abhorrent I couldn’t even bring myself to try it. I cannot understand how no one else mentioned it. I’m not exaggerating when I say it smells like fermented fish guts. Do your nostrils a favour and try something else.
